In the rush of mass-market manufacturing, formulations are often blended at high speeds and temperatures to maximize output. However, delicate botanical active compounds are highly sensitive to heat and mechanical stress. High-speed blending can shear the delicate oil-in-water emulsions, leading to rapid phase separation and premature volatile dissipation.
At The OFF Project, we formulate in small, temperature-controlled batches. Our emulsions are allowed to mature slowly over several days, allowing the botanical molecules to bind naturally and securely.
